Website Questionnaire

This questionnaire is a basic outline of the information I will need to build your website, please fill it out in as much detail as possible, this will make the process easier going forward.

Once the questionnaire is received back, I will be in touch over the course of the website designing to elaborate and build on some of your answers below. Failure to fill out the questionnaire in its entirety may result in additional charges.

Design Details

1. What is the main purpose for your website? (choose all that apply)

Online portfolio to display my work ie. Photography

To attract new customers when they search for a service online

To showcase my services and/or what I offer to customers/clients

Online shop/store to sell my (physical or digital) products/services

To sell online courses and/or digital files

Online price list for current and potential leads/customers

To provide information/educate

To point people to other sites, ie, social media, Etsy/eBay shops, Twitch/YouTube channel, a physical location etc

2. Business name and contact details. That’s all your business contact details you'd like on the website, including phone numbers, email address, address etc. The ways people can find you or get in touch.

2a. What are your opening/working hours/contactable hours/days?

3. Business Description for an about page, please write an intro/description/bio section for me to work off that just explains your business, what you provide, your values, story etc, typically what you’d maybe put in a bio or about me section of Facebook

4. Personal details. Full name, phone number, email, address, so I have your contact details for the invoice, as well as this being needed for your GDPR and privacy policy

5. The registered business address. (For your reference, legally you must have your business address or a PO box/contactable address or post box on your website)

6. All social media handles and links - Facebook link/name, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok and Pinterest if you have one, all social platforms you'd like linked to the site

7. All versions and sizes of your logo/watermark. If you have multiple sizes, in the highest quality you have send them all over via email please! (If I’ve designed your logo you don’t need to worry about this and you can leave it blank.)

8. Pages. How many pages and what pages would you like, you have the standard home page, and contact page. What other pages do you need? About? Services? Gallery? Reviews? Shop? Let me know what your ideas are

9. List of all your products/services you offer & details about what they are/how it works/what they include/timeframes. Ensure you get all services (inc. bespoke offers) in as much detail as possible. Feel free to attach document + photos below for ease.

10. Price lists. Can be changed at any point so just give me a price list of everything as it is now, if you don’t have price lists and work off a quotation system or don't want to display prices, please let me know.

11. Any offers or deals you run, including package deals, offers/special prices, and loyalty schemes. Please include the logistics and your terms and conditions for these offers/deals

12. Reviews. Please give me the links to your Facebook /Trip Advisor / Bing / Check-a-Trade or Google etc review pages and I can take them from here or attach customer photos etc below

13. Images. Easiest way is to share google drive link (with descriptions) below. If you want live Instagram gallery added, please let me know

Upload all the pictures you’d like on your site with a description of what it is/what service it is etc, I will happily edit them if needed to make them look professional and brighter on your page, so they don’t need to be perfect.

If you also have any product, service, promotional etc. videos please attach these or include link above in Q13

14. Privacy policy details. I'll write the majority of this for you, I just need to know what you do with peoples contact information if they book/order, (store them on a secure server, how you remove/destroy them after the regulated 7 years end)

15. Colour schemes. If you have any particular colour schemes or styles, you’d like me to work with then please let me know. (If I have already created your branding style or previous materials, I will use this theme)

16. Do you have any examples of websites you like, and design ideas or features you’d like on your website? e.g. live Instagram gallery, booking form or newsletter subscription? Pop links below with brief description

17. You will need a Gmail/Google email account. If you do not already have one, you will need to create one. To set up your website on Google, and connect your contact forms to your email, I will need your google email address and password.

18. Do you have a Google Business account set up? If no, let me know if you'd like me to help

19. Do you have or require a business email account with your domain name? For example, my email address is jade@jmmarketingdesigner.com. If so, please let me know below and I will provide more information and pricing.

20. If you have already purchased your own domain name please send over all your domain name details, so I can connect to your website. If no domain, see Q21 below

21. Your domain name is your web address, for example Facebook’s domain name is www.facebook.com. If you have not already purchased a domain name and would like me to do that for you, please state what you would like. Give as many examples as possible.

22. Terms and conditions. What are the terms and conditions for your customers? This includes how your quotation prices work, returns/refunds, any rules/conditions they have to follow etc

If you’d like to keep your terms and conditions off your website (for example, you prefer to send a PDF version to customers once they book) please let me know and send me a copy of the document.

If you’d like a terms and conditions link on your website that customers/clients can sign – like mine, let me know and this can be done for you, so you can track all electronic ‘signatures’.

24. What details would you like your invoices issued to?

If I’m building your website on Wix, I’ll purchase the Wix subscription and invoice you personally for it if you’re okay with that? (it just makes it a little easier and I’ll manage everything for you and bill you myself when it comes to re-newing the subscription). If I’m editing your existing site, you will continue to manage your own subscription billing.

26. Are you requiring payments to be taken on your site? For example, will you be selling products/services, or taking deposits? If so I will send you a separate document that outlines the details I will require to set this up for you
